 | Sunday, August 5th, 2012: Escamilla Shuts Out Long Beach After his 7-0 shutout win against the Surfers, Martín Escamilla said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good." They were better than good as the Black Sox pitcher put up 10 strikeouts, surrendered no walks, allowed 4 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. In 2012, Escamilla has chalked up 8 wins and 9 losses in 23 starts with 144 strikeouts in 152.1 innings and a 2.95 ERA. |
