 | Sunday, April 28th, 2013: Great Stroke! González Gets 5 Hits! It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Miguel Angel González -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at San Juan Fields and paced the Tiberones to a 7-3 win over the Bogota Toros. After his dynamite batting performance the San Juan designated hitter told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. M. González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off P. García in the 12th. In 2013, González is hitting .447 with 1 home runs and 12 RBIs in 25 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .513 with 15 walks and 21 runs scored. |
