 | Monday, July 30th, 2012: MBBA's #1 Player, Samson of Des Moines There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Jean-Claude Samson, the Des Moines second baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Monty Brewster Baseball Association Player of the Week honors. Samson piled up 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs while hitting .556. In 2012 Samson is batting .321 with 135 hits, 3 home runs, 45 RBIs, 42 walks, .384 OBP and has scored 66 runs.
