Global Unified Baseball Association News Article | | | Sunday, July 29th, 2012: Jackson's Wolfe Shuts Out Sluggers The Sluggers manager was philosophical after his team was shut out by the Jackson Gators 7-0.
"It was just one of those games, shake it off and do better next time," he said.
Norman Wolfe blanked them on 5 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs. They were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Wolfe said.
"I set them up pretty good, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
On his 2012 stats sheet Wolfe shows a 7-7 record, 17 starts, 136.2 innings, 73 strikeouts and a 3.42 ERA. | |
