 | Tuesday, November 12th, 2013: Auckland's Zaragoza Wins Rookie of the Year The top rookie in the Federation of International Baseball was Auckland first baseman Wildemar Zaragoza. He impressed voters so much that they named him the 2013 Blue Nile Diamond Rookie Award recipient. Zaragoza put up some pretty fair numbers, including a .296 batting average and .349 on-base percentage, while racking up 34 home runs, 103 RBIs and 103 runs scored. |
