 | Saturday, September 7th, 2013: Bad News for Tigers, Ramírez Injured Watching José Ramírez getting helped off the field today at Tigers Ballpark, fans of the Taipei Tigers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the second baseman will miss one week with a strained calf muscle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Ramírez suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Coconuts. Thus far in 2013 Ramírez has hit .241 with 7 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 63 runs. |
