 | Wednesday, June 5th, 2013: Left Fielder Nelson Rodríguez Out Nelson Rodríguez at first refused to leave today's Des Moines-Baltimore game after he suffered a strained thigh muscle while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Baltimore left fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Rodríguez out of action for 2 weeks. In the 2013 season Rodríguez is hitting .265 with 8 home runs. |
