 | Tuesday, May 14th, 2013: Surf Shut Out Ninjas, Botte Winner Everything clicked on the hill today for Jaime Botte of the Sao Paulo Surf as he hurled his club to a 8-0 shutout win over the Tokyo Ninjas, limiting them to 6 hits while recording 3 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Ninjas manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." This season Botte has compiled a 2-2 mark with a 4.26 ERA. |
